On 25 and 26 June 2025, experts across Australian Government, state and territory governments, academia, industry and non-profit organisations will come together at the first One Health Symposium in Canberra.

Hosted by the interim Australian Centre for Disease Control in partnership with the Australian Government’s One Health Network, the event will explore some of Australia’s most pressing health and ecological challenges.

The One Health Symposium comes at a critical time, as global systems continue to grapple with the interconnected impacts of disease outbreaks, zoonotic spillovers and environmental degradation.

Through knowledge exchanges, interactive panel discussions and collaborative problem-solving activities, the event will help to break down silos and promote systemic resilience.

 Program highlights include:

  • keynote presentations that challenge current thinking on One Health, with examples from our most regional and remote communities
  • a panel discussion with Australian leaders in the human, animal, plant and environment fields
  • interactive workshop activities focused on adopting the One Health approach
  • presentations from a broad range of One Health practitioners.

Stay tuned in the weeks ahead as we share more updates and outcomes from the One Health Symposium.
